Consulting Chief Financial Officer

I love fixing cash-flow problems and helping business owners grow successful companies. My specialty is in privately-held manufacturers, distributors, contractors, and service providers.

I started my career in Silicon Valley where I focused on new venture formation, managing and operating rapidly growing businesses. I specialized in high technology start-ups in computer devices, semiconductor, medical devices and business services. My role was to create accounting systems, help raise financing, manage operations, and produce financial statements that gave CEOs confidence in our progress.

In the past 10 years, I started a couple businesses of my own in construction, real estate development and business services. This experience taught me critical lessons and gave me an appreciation of the challenges of being in charge.

My personal time is split between homes in Belmont and San Francisco. I serve as a board member for Killroy Pest Control, volunteer for two local organizations and I own The Carpet Butler.

CFO: As ​CFO, I'm responsible for timely, accurate and understandable financial records. My role is to ensure the administrative functions support the operations freeing the owner up to focus on growing the company.

Trusted advisor: As a long-time Silicon Valley CFO and entrepreneur, I have successfully grown several businesses, so I understand what it's like to be in charge. When owners face internal conflicts or complex decisions, I offer unbiased and candid advice based upon a deep understanding of the business.

Negotiator: If you have a tough issue to solve, sometimes it helps to have someone negotiate on your behalf. I have negotiated solutions with vendors, customers and unhappy employees that have saved the company money, protected relationships, and avoided legal action.
